McCall is located in the West Central Mountains of Idaho, with an elevation of 5,000 feet. We have mild summers, consisiting of long sunny days and cool nights. Temperatures can reach the 80's in the summer with nights cooling down to the 40's and 50's. Winters are cold and wet with an average annual snowfall of 174" and average daytime temeratures in the 20's and 30's with lows averaging in the low teens.

We HIGHLY recommend all wheel drive or 4 wheel drive vehicles for winter travel to McCall. Snow removal crews work around the clock to clear city roads and highways, however there is no guarantee when your specific route will be cleared. Please be prepared with a vehicle fully equipped for snow conditions.
